Become a low carbon community centre

Become a low carbon community centre

Our Climate Change Challenge encouraged three community centres to take steps to reduce their carbon footprint and encourage their centre users to do the same.

We’ve taken what they’ve learnt and gained from reducing their carbon footprint, and put into in a guide and short film.

The guide will take you through the simple and cheap actions you can take, to the more challenging actions. You can select which actions are most appropriate for your centre.

If you need help with any of the actions you can get in touch with:

  • The Carbon Trust – who can assess areas where you could improve the efficiency of your centre and offer advice on how to do it; and
  • Your local water company – this could either be Welsh Water or Severn Trent depending on where your centre is.

You can download the pack from here, or watch the short film.
